You can navigate in the application as Guest or as Client. To become a Host, you need to switch profiles. Switching from Client profile to Host doesn’t mean you have full access to all features of the app.

Every car is eligible to be shared on Rentout if the car is:
• Registered in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia or Montenegro.
• Depending on the country, it is less than 20 years old at the time of listing (in Kosovo 10 years old).
• Owned and manufactured to carry up to eight passengers and not exceed 3500 kg in weight.
• Passed the technical control, paid the requested insurance by the authorities, and paid all the car taxes.
If your car is well-maintained, rented for a good price, and a newer model, it can bring you in up to 650 or more on average each month.

If a car is stolen, the Host must file a report by declaring to the police authorities within 24 hours the theft of his/her car. The insurance company may refund the value of your car, as determined by an expert, if it is fully protected by our plans.
Our platform is coded to offer many telematics services to our Hosts, by controlling and protecting all their cars through it. They can also prevent the car motor from running, open / close the car doors, or manually turn off / on the car battery, by instructing their drivers on how to do it. Rentout support team has in its possession a connection network and many tools provided by our platform to instantly connect police authorities, our Hosts and private security companies to prevent a car from being stolen.
Moreover, by activating “a mandatory option,” our Hosts have the possibility to oblige their clients to buy an insurance plan and therefore protect their cars at all costs.
Listing a car on Rentout and taking reservation is completely free. So, our Host can have reservations for free, manage their fleet for free, manage their calendar for free, add and be paid for extra services and products for free, be reminded for many services for free, be supported 24/7 for free, be notified for free, etc. If you have all the necessary information at hand, it takes only 5 to 7 minutes to list your car and profit from all these services for free.
Our Clients and Hosts can buy insurance plans for their cars through Rentout. They can also benefit from road assistance support and services 24/7. Please read our insurance guide to understand its coverage and the offered services.
They are free to share a vehicle with another insurance provider, but for your own peace of mind, please make sure that your insurance policy still applies when someone else rents your vehicle. If anything happens with your car during a rental, our partners policies and the insurance companies will cover your claim.
In the event of an accident or a damaged car during the trip, Rentout provides to its Clients (Drivers) the service of uploading the accident photos, the police report, or the car damage photos online and then being instantly supported by our partners, the insurance company, and our online support. This process will speed up your coverage process by the insurance company and provide proofs for every claim by both parties.
If the police authorities declare a driver guilty, then she / he must pay the repair costs up to the amount of the insurance excess, and the insurer pays the rest.
Rentout provides both parties, Individual and Companies the possibility to rent their cars. You can be registered as an Individual or as a Company and profit from our services. You can also be registered as a Company under the profile of a Driver / Client and rent a car. By doing so your company will have the possibility to declare these payments as expenses for business purposes.
In order to provide our Hosts and Clients different payment methods, Rentout has international partnerships with the most important gateway platforms in the world. Our Hosts can be paid in cash or online with a debit card, credit card, or bank transfer. These rental payments are directly transferred to the Host bank account, which Clients can pay in cash before the rental begins or online. Regarding the insurance plan payments and the platform fee, these services must always be paid online.
The bank transfer needs at least 3 working days after the end of the rental to reach your bank account. Usually, transfers take 1 or 2 working days to reach your bank account. This means the payment will appear in your bank account 4 to 5 working days after the end of the rental. This process will help all parties get paid not only for rental services but also in cases of refunds, policy violations, or cancellations within 23 hours and 59 minutes from the beginning of the rental.
Our platform handles all cancellations, refunds, and violation policies in partnership with our partners. No need to worry; our system will preserve every piece of evidence, and by providing each party with all insurances, this effective tool will greatly facilitate our collaboration.
In countries like Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, and Montenegro, the income you make on Rentout is taxable, and you are responsible for declaring your earnings in a timely manner. Rentout is neither a financial institution nor a tax professional team, therefore we are unable to provide tax advice to you. Yes, Hosts may profit from many GPS & Telematics services offered by Rentout, therefore managing their car activity from our mobile app. In order to protect our Hosts cars, we are devoted to offer many services through our platform by installing some high technology products.
It is important to understand that we will obtain these data and strictly protect every piece of information into our European servers and according to our policies. When you do not have any booked trips and if you do not wish to transfer any of these data to our servers, you will have a privacy option to preserve your own privacy and we will not transfer these data into our servers.
Depending on the subscription you choose, our platform and installed products will read every data about your car or obtain many reports for:
• The fuel level & consumption;
• Car range on battery;
• Geo fences;

• Speed;

If our Hosts will require other services, such as total control of their car through our app, we will provide 8 other extra service, such as :

Through these services, our Hosts, can offer their Clients, the possibility to lock and unlock their car by using our mobile app.
If you will need much more Megabytes to fully read at real speed all the time, you’ll have that subscription option as well.
In order to benefit from these services, our technical staff must install at least 1, 2, or 3 devices into your vehicle. For these services, you will have the option to request a device installation reservation date through our app. Then we will contact you and come into your premises or invite you to bring your vehicle to our partners service premises. For your first equipped vehicle, we offer a 1-month free subscription. If the requested subscription services are for 10 cars or more, you will have 6 free subscription months. We take on and overcome challenges others deem impossible.
