To drive a car on Rentout, you need to be 18 years old, have a valid driver license and a valid ID document. These 2 documents are needed once, at the beginning for your registration, then our platform will save this data by facilitating your future reservations with us. When you’ll book your first trip, you’ll go through a quick verification and approval process by entering your driver’s license and some other information. These data are legally required for your rental agreement with our Hosts and your insurance agreement plan to be validated by the insurance company. In most cases, you’ll get approved immediately, and you’ll be set for all future road trips, leisure or business trips.

As an European company, we are guided by the European directives and laws. Rentout International Llc and its partners care about privacy and transparency, therefore we do collect, use, process, and disclose your personal information. Our Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices in connection with our platform, website and mobile applications linked to this Privacy Policy. We ensure our user for their personal data usage to be in a lawful and transparent manner ensuring fairness towards our Drivers and Hosts, whose personal data is being processed.
When our users requests access to their personal data, Rentout International Llc:
• Confirms whether or not it is processing personal data concerning them;
• Provide a copy of the personal data it holds about them;
• Provide information about the processing (such as purposes, categories of personal data, recipient, etc.)
Up to the user request, Rentout will provide to him/her a copy of their personal data free of charge. However, a reasonable fee can be charged for further copies.
If requested by our users, Rentout will also support you with the right to obtain your data portability and transmit it to another organization, delete, restrict or object your personal data on request.

Yes, you can easily update your profile through our platform and mobile apps. You can even manage your notifications and newsletters by activating these options into your profile section. You can do much more with Rentout, seek our help and assistance, learn more about car rental in the Balkans through our tips, save and share your favorites cars, chose your application language, your application appearance, let us know your feedback, etc.

As a Driver or as a Host, you are not obligated to buy an insurance plan in our platform. However, if you do wish to be protected by different insurance plans or supported by our road assistance 24/7. In order to protect their cars, some of our Hosts may activate an obligatory option for their clients to always buy an insurance plan, in that case if you do not wish to buy an insurance plan, please chose another car to rent. For the first time in these countries, Rentout is providing to its users a wide choice of daily insurance plans and road assistance services online.

Yes, other people can drive your car without extra fees, but they need to be registered into our platform in order for you and them to be verified by our support, protected by our insurance plans and road assistance 24/7. You can add a second driver into your trip request without fees, even though he/she is a young driver there are no extra fees applied.

Yes, Rentout platform allows you to pay cash our Hosts the day of your rental. However, if you wish to pay online the amount of you rental our platform provides you that option as well. In every case, our services fees or your requested insurance plans must be paid online. In spite of every choice you made, a detailed receipt and a rent agreement will be available online at your profile or mailbox, in the trip section as a proof for your requested services.

Rentout team, our international partners and our powerful AI tool (mobile application & platform) will support you 24/7 for any of your claims, requests in order to properly resolve your rental issues. Our platform & app is coded to support you 24/7, before, after and during your trip with us. In case of an accident, damaged car or any other claim, we coded our platform and mobile apps to directly support your claims online. Our support and help center is there 24/7 to find the right solution for you. Our support team and help center is directly connected with all our Hosts, public authorities, medical authorities, police etc. No worries, for any situation we have been prepared to be there for you 24/7.

Yes, you can get your car delivered or picked up to you for some extra fees. These fees are differently proposed by each Hosts. They can even decide to deliver your car without fees, it is up to them. In any case, these fees are calculated in base of the distance from the car location to your requested location. We do recommend to our Hosts some reference prices, in order for them to decide the appropriate price.

Yes, you can request to our Host to modify your trip by adding extra days or changing the actual reservation. Usually when the car is not booked, for the request extra days or it is available by our Hosts to be rented, your request will be approved.

Yes, Rentout allows to our Hosts to add extra services and products for their car. Our Hosts will provide to our Drivers many extra services or products for their trip, like:
A personal Driver, Baby seat, Roof rack, Roof box, Bike rack, Unlimited kilometers, Wi-Fi Hotspot products etc. Depending by our Hosts requests, all these extras services and products can be added to your trip request by our Hosts with extra fees or for free.

Rentout check in and check out process will instantly provide you, before and after the rental, the option to approve or decline the conditions of your rented car, by accepting or not the condition images of the delivered car. If you chose to approve the car deliverance as showed in the photos uploaded live by our Hosts, then your rental can legally and financially properly begin. If you are not convinced of your rented car conditions at the moment of their deliverance by our Hosts, you may decline your rental to begin and in that moment a full refund process will begin, to transfer the amount paid by you into your bank account.
In order to facilitate your car deliverance and assure you of its conditions, the same checkout process is provided by Rentout. Within 24h our Hosts will upload, the car condition images by at least 8 live uploaded photos, and if either our Hosts or our Drivers will not have any claims about this deliverance, the checkout process will be automatically completed by Rentout. Otherwise, if our Hosts will have any claims regarding your car deliverance, they must prove to us within 24h some supported evidence for their claims. In this case, you will be notified by our team and the Host claim will be verified by Rentout team and the insurance company as well. If his or her claim are legitimated by our team or the insurance company, our violation policies or insurance policies will be applied.

Rentout team is dedicated to protect our Drivers and Hosts, that’s why our cancellation policies protects both parties. You can cancel your rental free of charge, as follows:
a. If you cancel at least 24 hours before the start of your rental, you will receive a full refund.
b. If you cancel at least 23 hours 59 minutes before the start of your rental, you will be refunded for half of your 2 days rental payment.
c. If you cancel after your rental was supposed to start, you will not be fully refunded, but 2 days of your rental fees will be transferred to the Host of the rented vehicle and you’ll get the rest of your money refunded within 5-7 days. In case you have request a delivery or a pickup services from your Host, we’ll charge you half of the delivery fee.
d. If the Host doesn’t show up or the car does not exist anymore, the vehicle did not match at all the listing, you experienced a case of force majeure, you will be fully refunded.
Note: Please note that, if the Host of the car contest your cancellation (only if you cancel at least 23 hours and 59 before the start of your rental), your refund will take longer, in order for us to suspend it, while our team find the best solution for each parties involved.
Usually a refund process by the bank, can take up to 7 working days. For every case above, you will be notified with the proper document or receipt.
If you will contest the applied fees, you must submit a request within 24 to 48 hours and bring evidence supporting your request. If this delay will pass, we cannot open a refund request and we will assist you to find an arrangement with the Host directly.
If you cancel, 23 hours 59 minutes before your trip, or during your trip etc., the bank transactions fees needs to be paid by you.

In order to protect our Hosts, theirs cars and our Drivers as well, Rentout will apply these violation fees:
a. Cancellation fee (outside the free period): If your trip is 2 days or shorter you will need to pay the price of the first day and trip free. If your trip was longer than two days, we’ll charge you two day’s trip price and trip fee. In case you have request a delivery or a pickup services from your Host, we’ll charge you half of the delivery fee.
b. No-show Client fee – If your trip is 2 days or shorter, we’ll charge you 50% of your trip amount and trip fee. If your trip is longer than 2 days, we’ll charge you 2 days trip price and trip fee. In case you have request a delivery or a pickup services from your Host, we’ll charge you half of the delivery fee.
c. Cleaning policy violation fee – If you return your car in a degraded conditions or dirty enough in order to have caused some damages to it, we may charge you up to 50 euros violation fee. We may also remove you from Rentout Platform.
d. Policy violation fee – If you make a payment outside of Rentout platform for charges meant to be paid via the platform, we may charge you a 100 euro penalty fee and remove you from Rentout Platform.
e. Late return fee – If you return a vehicle from 30 min to 23 hours more of past scheduled trip time, your Host may request your rental daily fee, in addition to the cost your additional use of the vehicle. If, the car is not reserved the next day, you can use still drive it (if the Host will agreed to it). If not, you must return it to the Host and pay the rental daily fee as a penalty.
f. Inappropriate location return – Your Host, may request to charge you from 20 to 100 euros fee, in addition to an inappropriate location return, farther than 1 to 100 km.
g. No smoking of violation fee – Neither you nor your passengers may smoke in any vehicle prohibited by our Hosts to smoke inside the vehicle. If you do not respect this policy and your Host provides us eligible evidence of smoking, we’ll charge you, in behalf of our Host a 50 euros violation smoking fee (the requested fee to properly clean the vehicle).
h. No animal and pet violation fee – Neither you nor your passengers may bring inside the vehicle prohibited by our Hosts rules. If you do not respect this policy and your Host provides us eligible evidence of animal and pet violation rule, we’ll charge you, in behalf of our Host a 50 euros fee (the requested fee to properly clean the vehicle).
Note: If you buy a “full insurance plan” / “Super Plan”, there is no need to charge a security deposit.

When our Hosts requires it, Rentout platform automatically freeze a security deposit based on the vehicle type and other rules of the requested trip. When you book a car a security deposit is automatically blocked 48h before your rental will begin. Please verify the credit balance in your bank account before the beginning of your rental, because our platform is coded to cancel your reservation, if there are no credits in your bank account to freeze.
This security deposit (0-550 euros) is freeze from a debit or a credit card.
The security deposit may be debited in case of damages to the vehicle or to cover additional fees as a police fine, fuel, late return, cleaning fees etc.
The security deposit, is automatically released after 3 to 5 days from the end of your rental, if there are no claims from the Host of the rented vehicle within 24h.
Rentout will automatically refund the security deposit 48h-72h after your trip ends, if you meet all the following criteria :
• The Host hasn’t reported any vehicle damage;
• You have paid any eligible reimbursement invoice or police penalty related to your trip;
• You did not leave the country of the rental company / individual without the Host consent;
• You did not passed the rental period more than 29 minutes, after the supposed return of the vehicle;
In case of cancellation by the Driver 24h before the rental begins, the security deposit is released immediately.
Please note that some banks can take an additional 5 to 7 days before showing the released deposit on your bank account.

Deposit for trips in Albania, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia
• Economy and Standard vehicles 0 to 550 euro, depending of the vehicle production year.
• Luxury and Retro vehicles security deposit amount is fixed by our Hosts.

– If you are new to our platform, you will get your first discount up to 30% of your rental price.
– If you will invite other users to be registered into our platform, you will receive a 50 euros discount for your incoming reservation.
– If you will be part of our membership plans and receive a digital membership card, you will profit for many other services, pay less for your fuel, reserve unlimited kilometers for free and much more.
– If you share our platform services into your social media profiles, write an article about us, you may become a brand ambassador for Rentout and profit for free from our services fees.

Every car is eligible to be shared on Rentout, if the car is:
• Registered in Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia or Montenegro.
• Is less than 20 years old at the time of listing.
• Owned and manufactured to carry up to eight passengers and not exceed 3500 kg in weight.
• Passed the technical control, paid the requested insurance by the authorities, and all the car taxes.

If your car is well-maintained, rented for a good price, and is a newer model, it can bring you in up to 650 or more on average each month.

Being partnered with important companies specialized in resolving these issues, providing many insurance plans, properly coding our verification and booking process, and having a 24/7 support team there to help you and connect you directly with the police authorities, will drastically decrease the chances of your car from being stolen.
If a car is stolen, the Host must file a report by declaring to the police authorities within 24 hours the theft of his/her car. The insurance company will refund the value of your car as determined by an expert, if your car is fully protected by our plans.
Our platform is coded to offer many telematics services to our Hosts, by controlling and protecting all their cars through it. They can also prevent the car motor from running, open / close the car doors or manually turning off / on the car battery, by instructing their Drivers how to do it. Rentout support team has in its possession a connection network and many tools provided by our platform to instantly connect police authorities, our Hosts and private security companies to prevent a car from being stolen.
Moreover, by activating “a mandatory option”, our Hosts have the possibility to oblige their clients to buy an insurance plan and therefore protect their cars at all costs.

Listing your car in Rentout is completely free. Taking reservations from Rentout is completely free. So, our Host can have reservations for free, manage their fleet for free, manage their calendar for free, add and be paid for extra services and products for free, being reminded for many services for free, being supported 24/7 for free, being notified for free etc. If you have all necessary information at hand, it takes only 7 to 8 minutes to list your car and profit from all these services for free.

Our Hosts can buy many insurance plans for their cars through Rentout. They can also benefit from road assistance support and services 24/7. Please read our insurance guide to understand its coverage and the offered services.
Yes, they can share a car ensured by another insurance company, but please verify for your own protection, if your insurance provider cover your car protection when the car is being rented. If anything happens with your car during a rental, our policies and the insurance company will cover your claim.

In the event of an accident, or a damaged car during the trip, Rentout provides to its Drivers the services of uploading the accident photos, the police report, or the car damage photos online and then being instantly supported by our partners, insurance company and our support team. This process will speed up your coverage process by the insurance company and provide proofs for every claim by both parties.
If the police authorities will declare Rentout driver guilty, then she / he must pays the repair costs up to the amount of the insurance excess, and the insurer pays the rest.

Rentout provides to both parties, Individual and Companies the possibility to rent their cars. You can be registered as an Individual or as a Company and profit from our services. You can also being registered as a Company under the profile of a Driver / Client and rent a car, by doing so your company will have the possibility to declare these payments as expenses for business purposes.

In order to provide to our Hosts and Drivers different payments methods, Rentout has international partnerships agreement with the most important gateway platforms in the world. Our Hosts can be paid in cash or online with a debit card, credit card or bank transfer. These rental payments are directly transferred to the Host bank account which Drivers can directly pay him/her in cash before the rental begins. Regarding, the insurance plan payments, these ones must be paid always online from Hosts to the insurance company or from Drivers to the insurance company.
The bank transfer needs at most 3 working days after the end of the rental. Usually, transfers takes 1 or 2 working days to reach your bank account. This means the payment will appear in your bank account 4 to 5 working days after the end of the rental. This process will help all parties getting paid not only for rental services but also in case of refunds, policy violations or cancellations within 23 hours and 59 minutes from the beginning of the rental.
All the cancellations, refunds and violation policies are taken care by our platform in collaboration with our partners, by transferring every payment into the proper bank account within the requested delays. No worries, every proof is well preserved by our system and this powerful tool will facilitate a lot our collaboration by giving all the insurances to every parties.

In countries like Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro the income you make on Rentout is taxable and you are responsible for declaring your earnings in a timely manner. Rentout is not a financial institution and neither a tax professionals team, therefore we are unable to provide tax advices to you. However, if you are unclear and eager to resolve these matter, we encourage you to consult a tax experts or our tax partners at RSM Albania, RSM Kosovo, RSM North Macedonia.

Yes, every user identity is verified by Rentout international partners and by our support team. This verification process it is done online, usually within seconds or depending by each case and verification within 24h.

Yes, Hosts may profit from many GPS & Telematics services offered by Rentout and therefore managing their car activity from our mobile app. In order to protect our Hosts cars, we are devoted to offer many services through our platform by installing some high technology products.
It is important to understand that we will obtain these data and strictly protect every information into our European servers and by our policies. When you will not have any booked trips and if you do not wish to transfer any of these data to our servers, you will have a privacy option to preserve your own privacy and we not transfer these data into our servers.
Depending on the subscription you will chose, our platform and installed products will read every data of your vehicle or obtain many reports for :
• The fuel level & consumption;
• Vehicle range on battery;
• Geo fences;
• Lock status;
• Tracking position;
• Speed;
• Mileage;

If our Hosts will require other services, such as the total control of their car through our app, we will provide 8 other extra service, such as :

Through these services Our Hosts, can offer to their Drivers / Clients, the possibility to lock / unlock their car by using our mobile app.
If you will need much more Mega Bytes, to fully read at real speed your vehicle data all the time, you’ll have that subscription option as well.
In order to profit from these services, at least 1, 2 or 3 devices must be installed into your vehicle from our technical staff and for that services you’ll have the possibility to make request through our app for a device installation reservation date. Then we will contact you and come into your premises or invite you to bring you vehicle in our partners services premises.
For your first equipped vehicle, we offer 1 free subscription month.
If the request subscription services are for 10 cars and more, you will have a 6 free subscription months.
